The Revolution Show is a radical performative storytelling experience from Mixed Intentions that explores what “revolution” and “radical” mean across different histories, cultures, and lived experiences. Through puppetry, original music, movement, satire, and Cantastoria-inspired storytelling, the piece weaves together stories including the Battle of Hayes Pond and the Haitian Revolution while examining how struggles for liberation echo into the present day and shape what is happening now. Whimsical, irreverent, and heartfelt, the work invites audiences into a theatrical world where history sings, images speak, and storytelling becomes an exchange rather than a presentation.
Mixed Intentions is what happens when Nicolette Emanuelle and Mary Fox come together to make radical performative storytelling.
