About the Event
RATING | PG-13
Genre: Theatre Jordana is a young widow mourning her wife Grace, a funny, handy butch and the lifeblood of their friend group. She retreats to her depression den, a Room of Broken Things, building a digital version of Grace in a video game. Jordana doesn’t want to let anyone in; not to cook, clean, or shut off her computer. She is haunted by her good memories: the late-night tabletop gaming with friends, the first flirtations at the office. Her friends (and her somewhat overbearing mother) try to pull Jordana out of her sorrow as they struggle with their own grief. At the center of the piece is Grace: a creative, charismatic soul who never felt comfortable in the world. The play traces Jordana's path without her: through grief, glitches, ghosts, & golems.
