About the Event

RATING | PG-13

Genre: Musical Theatre

Abby Bentley’s Monkey in the Coconut is a musical comedy solo show inspired by very real and very strange events. Abby's second-grade teacher brings a coconut to school and announces that a scientist at the local nuclear bomb plant has implanted it with a monkey embryo.

In this show, Abby wrestles with the big questions: Can I trust authority? Is evolution real? And... will this coconut hatch? Packed with sharp humor and the surreal logic of seven-year olds, Monkey in the Coconut is a playful, thought-provoking story that might leave audiences side-eyeing the nearest coconut.
